Farmhouse. Mid-late C18 with early C19 extension and late C19 and C20
alteration. Orange red brick in random bond rendered to front; slate roof
to front and concrete pantile to rear; pantile roofs to porch and rear wing.
Central-stairhall plan, 1½ rooms deep; rear service wing added. 2-storey,
3-window front. 6-panel door with divided overlight and 2-window square bay
to left, both beneath continuous pent porch. 12-pane sash with painted
stone sill to right of door and similar window above. All remaining windows
are 4-pane sashes. Raised first-floor and eaves bands. Coped gables and
moulded kneelers. End stacks. Left return: window openings have gauged
brick arches. Right return: attic window has cambered brick arch. Rear
wing: 6-panel door to centre with divided overlight. To left, tripartite
sash and to right, later inserted 2-light, large-pane horizontal-sliding
sash. 16-pane sash to first floor left, 4-pane sash to right. Stone sills
to all windows and cambered arches to all openings except to ground floor
right. Coped gable and moulded kneeler to right. Centre and end right
stacks. Interior not fully inspected.
