2 houses, now hotel. Mid C17 and early C19. C17 section: timber frame,
whitewashed rendered stone, pantile roof. C19 section: roughly squared
coursed sandstone, pantile roof, brick stacks. C17 section: former
through passage-plan, door now relocated in centre. 2 storeys, 3 bays
of frame. Half-glazed door in stone surround flanked by bow windows,
all C20. First floor: 2 casements and one 3-light Yorkshire sash.
Steeply pitched roof. C19 section: 3 storeys, 3 bays. 6-panel door
with radial fanlight in open-pedimented Ionic doorcase. One 4-pane sash
bow window to left and 2 to right. 4-pane sashes in stone surround to
first and second floors. Moulded cornice. Gable coping. End stacks
and ridge stack. Interior: C17 section has half-cruck visible in bar
and bedroom above and wooden panelling in left side of bar.
