1874-5. Built by George Dawson to a design by J H Hirst. 3 storeys 9 bay range of shops with 6 bay curved
corner treatment. Slated roof. Grit stone ashlar. Cornice surmounted by draped
urns. Each bay with rusticated pilasters to ground and 1st floors with windows
in recessed arcade of 2nd floor. Blind balustraded balconies to 1st and 2nd
floors. Arched casement windows to 2nd floor; ground and 1st floors with segmental
arched openings, with keys. Modern ground floor shop window and doorways. Included
for group value.

Nos 2 to 24 (even) and the Royal Baths form a group with the return of No 3 Crown Place.
