Ornamental well cover. c.1710, resited C20. By Sir John Vanbrugh for the
Earl of Carlisle. Ashlar magnesian limestone on C20 concrete base. Square,
single-celled construction with arches on 3 sides; rusticated. Impost band
to round arches with pendant keystones; projecting band over surmounted by 2
stepped blocking courses. Arched niche within.
