The farmhouse is dated 1788 but may well be rebuild on earlier foundations. Long
range including laithe barn, partly built into hillside. In 2 builds with thinner
sandstone "bricks" in part. Two-storeys with stone slate roof, console brackets
to eaves, saddlestones, shaped thinly cut projecting kneelers. Corniced chimneys.
Four light and 2 light flush framed, square mullion windows. Outshut to rear at
east end. To rear the barn, being built into hillside, has top loading bay.
Crown post roof trusses.
