House in 2 occupations. Early C17. Large dressed stone, stone slate roof.
2 storeys. Quoins 4-bay south front of 3 room plan with chamfered doorway with
square headed lintel between 3rd and 4th bays (now window). All are double
chamfered mullioned windows to ground floor of 1st 3 bays. 1st bay parlour
window has 4 lights (one mullion removed) with 4-light chamfered mullioned
window over. 2nd bay has 6-light housebody window (2 lights solid and lacking
2 mullions) with hoodmould continuous over 1st 2 bays with straight return.
Over 2nd bay window is 4-light chamfered mullioned window. 3rd bay has 3-light
fire window with hoodmould and 4-light flat faced mullioned window over slightly
to right with small square chamfered opening over door. Service end has altered
windows: that to 1st floor still retains its chamfered surround. Left hand
return wall has finely dressed extruded stack to gable. 2 other stacks to
ridge, one brick stack centrally placed between 2nd and 3rd bays, one stone
stack to right hand gable. To rear is late C19 2 storey extension not included
in the item partly overlaying the roof.
