Weigh-house now shop. Mid C19. For the Rochdale Canal Company. Ashlar, stone
slate roof. 1 storey, 1 + 1 bays, originally with side entry. West front:
rusticated plinth with band. Bay 1: on right 2 steps up to inserted doorway with
C20 door and stone lintel. Facade dominated by canted bay window on rectangular
base with 2 lights to each face, cornice, blocking course and coping. Shaped
kneelers, ashlar coping (rendered on left). External stack on left (stack rendered).
Gable finial on right. On right narrow, lower, flat-roofed bay with blocking course.
Rear: one original 2-light window. Right return: blocked doorway on left, now
window, has cornice, 2-light window on right. Left return: one original 2-light
window.
