Town Head Farmhouse
and adjoining cottage

Farmhouse and adjoining cottage. Early to mid C.18. Hammer dressed stone,
with very deeply coursed millstone grit to north gable. Quoins. Stone slate
roof with gable copings on moulded kneelers. Formerly 2 good ashlar stacks
with mouldings, one now truncated. Two storeys. West elevation: two 4-light chamfered and recessed stone mullioned window to each floor. Ground floor:
window to left altered to take doorway. Central first floor 3-light window.
To right is slightly later addition, Town Head cottage, with recent single
storey extension. East elevation is altered but includes one 4-light
chamfered and recessed windows.
