II
Estate lodge to (demolished) Parlington Hall. Probably late C18. Sandstone
ashlar, part with remains of scored stucco, modern pantile roof. Square on
plan. Two storeys, 2 bays, gable to lane, symmetrical, in classical style:
central panelled door with 2-pane fanlight, moulded cornice on consoles, set
within a large round-headed recessed arch; two 12-pane sashed windows on each
floor, with crown glass glazing; gable pediment containing a blind oval. Brick
chimney on ridge. Short screen wall each side, a doorway through that on the
left, and a blind doorway in the other. Side walls have blind and sashed windows.
C19 brick single-storey service wing in courtyard on left.
