Mansion, 1891 (on lintels over doors). Red brick and pebble dashed
walls with red tile roof. "L" shaped plan, English free style. 2-
storey 5-bay garden front with single storey 4 bay wing (east) and
3-storey, 3-bay service wing (north). The garden front has a stone
plinth, pebble dashed walls, three 2-storey segmental bays with
sashes, a window in the venetian style and a deeply recessed
multipanelled door in a stone dressed opening with Tudor head. There
is a sundial with three cherubs and "Time Flies" over the door. The
west gable has planted timbers flanking a wide stack. The entrance
front (north) has pair of multipanelled oak doors with ornamental
wrought iron grille over single glazed panel. The doors have ogee
heads and doorcase with consoles supporting an oak pedimented canopy.
The opening is flanked right hand by six-light flat-topped bow and
left hand by square bay with lead ogee roof. The entrance bay has
plaque with GCD and GJD and an heraldic symbol in the gable apex. The
service wing has vertical tile hanging and tall Accrington brick
chimneys with triangular pilasters.
