Farmhouse and attached dairy. C17 with later alterations. Brick, rubble,
slate roof to front, concrete double Roman tiled rear roof, brick gable stacks.
Dairy of brick with double Roman tiled roof. L-plan. 2 storeys and 5 windows,
all cross windows with segmental heads, at 1st floor with leaded lights and
triple scrolled wrought iron catches, C20 replica at 1st floor right, central
panelled and glass door in moulded frame with trellis porch and flat hood,
raised brick quoins and cornice with brick modillions; single storey, former
dairy to right has 2-light window with iron stanchions and small unglazed window
with plank shutter. North east elevation has two 2-light attic windows with
cambered heads and flat mullions, blocked to left, 3 panes each light to right;
rear wing of 2 storeys and 2 windows, cross windows at 1st floor, C19 6-light
mullion and transom window to ground floor left, C20 window to ground right, all
with cambered heads, brick cornice and modillions of 2 bricks each. South west
elevation has closed attic window. Rear has it storey addition in angle of
L-plan with 2 C20 windows and plank door with strap hinges in moulded frame,
C20 door; brick cornice without modillions. Rear of dairy has plank door with
strap hinges in plain frame, window with iron stanchions, plank and batten door
and sidelight with iron stanchion and leaded lights, all with timber lintel,
loading door to south west elevation, blocked door at ground floor now with
window opening. Interior: not accessible.
