Farmhouse, now house. Mid C17 with later C17 additions, C19 and C20
alterations. Rubble, double Roman tiled roof with stone ridge and gable stacks.
Probably originally 2-room through passage plan, with later wing to front right
forming L-plan and extended further to right. 2 storeys and 2 windows, all C20
2-light casements of different sizes with timber lintels at ground floor, off-
centre door with strap hinges and iron key plate in ovolo-moulded door frame,
with lead canopy porch on trellis; 2-storey wing to right has 2 similar ground
floor windows and one at first floor, all with glazing bars; gable end front of
wing blank, straight joint to right to further lower wing with timber lintel
remaining from former ground floor opening. Right return shows 2-span roof, to
left a 1/2-glazed door with 3-light casement above, to right a 2-light casement;
left return has blank gable end. Rear 2 bays to right have two 2-light
casements under eaves, two 3-light and central single light at ground floor,
stonework shows possible former rear door; stair tower to left, blocked
internally, with 4-pane light at upper level; 2 bays to left have 2-light and
3-light casement under eaves and two 1/2-glazed doors and central 2-light casement
below, pitched roof over door to right. Interior: not accessible at time of
survey (April 1985), has C19 straight stair set to front of stair tower, ridge
stack has wide fireplace with stone jambs.
