House and outbuildings built at different levels down hill-slope; 1749 and
later. Coursed, squared rubble (widely jointed) with quoins. Corrugated iron
roof to lower section which incorporates cross-passage with C20 garage doors to
left (replacing byre) and initialled and dated panel above (1749); hay-loft
access up steps at rear. Main house possibly earlier gable-entry plan to which
cross-passage was added; 2 rows of projecting through-stones and graduated slate
roof with stone end chimneys. Single C20 window to either side of part-blocked,
central, 2-light stone mullioned window; two C20 windows to 1st floor. To rear,
single C20 casement, 3-light stone mullioned window, and blocked single-light
window; two C20 casements to 1st floor. Up-slope is a byre with hay-loft under
a corrugated iron roof; range ends with added, lower, hay-loft under separate
corrugated iron roof.
