- front garden walls

Row of 4 cottages, including front garden walls. Circa late C18 and early C19.
Roughly coursed faced killas rubble. Some brick arches, some stone arches, some
timber lintels. Asbestos slate and Delabole slate hipped roofs. Large external
rubble stack on the left, brick chimney over party wall towards right.
Plan: Double-depth plan. On the left are 3 similar cottages (under one roof). Each
of these cottages has 1 room at the front and entrance hall at the side. Right-hand
cottage has a larger room at the front.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall 7 window road front. 3 middle cottages left (Nos 45
and 46) have circa mid-C19 12-pane hornless sashes. Left-hand cottage has circa
early C19 16-pane hornless sash to ground floor and 12-pane horned copies above.
Right-hand cottage (No 44) has circa mid C19 hornless sashes: 12-pane sash to ground
floor, tripartite sash to first floor.
