Early C19. Originally a hunting lodge of Lord Lonsdale, with facade facing
towards Lowther Castle. Rear is set on 3 sides of a courtyard, cobbled,
containing coach-house, barn, stable and loft with external stone steps.
House now divided into 2, the front of scored stucco, 2 storeys, centre
gabled with a pointed arch over the doorway. At each side of centre are
two 2-light windows on each floor, with round-headed lights and flat labels.
At each end is a 3-storeyed tower, with a similar 3-light window on each floor.
