Pair of attached houses. Early - mid C19 with few later alterations. Stone rubble,
the ground floor rendered and the first floor slate-hung. Hipped asbestos slate roof
with ridge and hip tiles. Axial stack and gable end stack to right with brick
shafts.
Plan: No 1 is to left and No 3 to right. No 1 is of 2-room plan, the room to left
heated from an axial stack and the room to right possibly heated from a stack at the
rear; each room of equal size with central entrance. No 3 is of one-room plan, with
door to left and room to right heated from a stack at the right gable end.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3-window front. First floor has 3 early C19 16-
pane sashes in exposed boxes. Ground floor has 3 bays to left with central C19 6-
panelled door with pilasters and blind overlight. Similar C19 16-pane sash to right
and left. 2 bays to right with similar C19 6-panelled door and 16-pane sash. Left
end is in rubble at the ground floor with a blind window, slate-hung above.
