Gate piers and boundary walls. Mid-C18. Ashlar gritstone, square on plan, with
projecting moulded caps, surmounted by ball finials. Wooden gates with radiating
geometric open work to upper sections. Low curved flanking walls with saddleback
copings linking main piers to tall boundary walls on either side, and supporting
plain timber rail fencing with violin-shaped intermediate stone supports. To the
north, the low wall ends at a lower version of the main piers, which itself is joined
to a quoined doorway in the full height wall. To the south, there is a lower pier
incorporated in the full height wall and a second quoined doorway.
