Dutch Barn belonging to
the Manor
II

Dutch barn. Early C19. Rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins.
Stone slate roof with one stone gable end stack. Two storeys. South elevation
of six bays. Low ground floor byre, with from left to right, an entrance opening,
a partly blocked opening with window set in an enlarged entrance opening and a
partly blocked opening with window set in. Continuous stone band above which
serves as lintels to these openings and as sills to four tall round-arched
openings above. All these openings have gritstone quoins. To the right a further
entrance opening with quoins and two square openings above with dressed stone
surrounds. An unusually grand and 'architectural' farm building.
