Farmhouse. 1649 with later alterations. Coursed rubble limestone, gritstone
dressings. Sandstone block porch. Plain tile roof. Two stone ridge stacks and
one gable end stack to east, all with plain banding. Two storey, four bays.
Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Ridge back copings and moulded kneelers
to porch gable. To west, 2-light flush mullion window with
glazing bar sashes. Advanced single bay porch to east with off-centre chamfered
doorcase. Four-centred arch under flat lintel with three moulded panels inscribed
'IB/MB/1649'. Panelled C19 door with top glazed panel. Continuous moulded string-
course above door and central semi-circular headed single light window with cavetto
moulded architrave. Cut away spandrels to head of window. Beyond, to east, 5-
light recessed and chamfered mullion window with dripmould over. To east again
glazing bar sash in tall recessed and chamfered surround. Above,from west, C19
2-light flush mullion window with glazing bar sashes. To east, one 2-light and one
3-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. Beyond, to east, horizontal
sliding sash in recessed and chamfered surround. Projecting rear staircase bay
with single light window. Original leaded lights. Well in eastern corner of
porch and house.
