Farmhouse. Mid C17 with late C17 and mid C18 and C20 additions and
alterations. Timber frame with brick infill and slate roof. H-shaped
plan. The northern downstroke being the original one cell, two-storey
block with a later, mid C17, 2-cell addition forming the central line.
The southern downstroke is of mid C18 date. North side: Stone
plinth, brick English garden wall bond brick to ground floor with
corner posts. Slight jetty to first floor with ovolo-moulded
bressumer and 5 x 2 cells of small framing with angle braces to first
floor. Left hand gable end: Stone plinth, 5 x 3 cells of small
framing with angle braces. C19 or C20 chimney breast added. The late
Cl7 range to the left of this was refaced in the early C19 probably at
the same time as the former infill to the right hand timber-framed
block was replaced. C19 fenestration.
Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams to ground floor.
