Substantial house. Early-mid C18 with late C19 re-fenestration. Light-red,
narrow, hand-made brick in Flemish bond with stone quoins. Pantiled roofs and
old brick chimneys. Double-pile plan under 2-span roof.
2-storey, 5-bay garden front has raised-and-chamfered quoins. 2 stone steps to
central, early C19 6-panel door with 3-pane overlight. Replaced 4-pane sashes
under gauged brick flat arches. Steeply-pitched roof has raised verges, shaped
kneelers and end chimneys.
Rear, entrance front has raised-and-chamfered quoins. C20 door to left of centre.
Central, mid-wall, early C19 Venetian stair window has intersecting-tracery head
under gauged brick arch. Flanking, replaced 12-pane sashes. Identical roof
details.
Interior. Several 6-panel doors in architraves. 2-panel door in staircase hall.
Open-well, cut-string staircase, of 3 flights plus landing rail, has 2 balusters
per tread (alternately fluted and iron twist on turned bases) and a moulded,
ramped handrail.
Stair window has fluted pilasters and a Greek Doric entablature.
