GV II
Farmhouse, front garden walls and gate. Circa early mid C19. Granite rubble with
granite dressings. Hipped grouted scantle slate roof with projecting eaves. Brick
chimneys over the side walls. Rear right-hand chimney is over an external rubble
stack. Cast-iron ogee gutters.
Plan: Double depth plan with wider kitchen/living room on the right and parlour,
left, flanking an entrance hall leading to a stair hall between rear service rooms,
probably kitchen on the right and dairy or pantry on the left. Later C19 single-
storey service wing at right angles to rear, far left and right. Old lean-to
conservatory at right-hand side of house.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south front with doorway and window
over, slightly left of middle. Original 4-panel door with top panels later glazed
and overlight. Original 12-pane hornless sashes at both front and rear.
Interior: not inspected. Probably retains its original carpentry and joinery.
Roughly rectangular garden at the front with granite rubble wall on its right-hand
side and entrance at the round front right-hand corner. The entrance has granite
monolithic round-headed piers. Original C19 wrought iron gate with cross-braced and-
scrolled decoration.
