A small, low 2 storey C17 or earlier house. Rendered front with late C19 fenestration
and small shop. Steep pitched early tiled roof with the ridge stepped up half-way
along from left end where there ia a brick chimney stack. 2 later brick stacks
come through slope of roof. Hipped dormer to left. Small shop front has door
on left and 3 pilasters. Small 3 light bay on left. Rear wall apparently continued
from No 41 [The Old George] which is part timber framed.
Nos 23 to 49 (odd) High Street including No 25A form a group of which Nos 29 to
37 (odd) are of local interest only.
