Wall to Eastgate of various dates incorporates late C16 doorway, red brick and
stone intermingled, some old materials and modern work. 10ft high and approx
70 ft long. Wall broken forward to receive gateway, surmounted by triangular
pediment in moulded brick, heavily moulded brick 4-centred arch and jambs, part
of the Old Friary originally. Part said to have been taken down. The garden
wall facing Minster Yard is about 6 ft tall, probably C18 or early C19, with 2
gatepiers with ball finials.
