GV II

Orangery. Dated 1879 on rear rainwater heads. By J. Watson. Sandstone ashlar
with rear coursed squared sandstone; roofless at time of survey. One storey,
7 bays. Tuscan arcade, the central arch higher and with doors missing;
balustraded parapet on deep cornice; garlanded urns over each column. Returns
have similar 2-bay arcade, the rear arches blind. Skeletal iron structure for
hipped roof with spear finials; covering missing. Rear shows fragments of pent
glass-house. Interior has 7 full-height groups of iron rods for supporting
plants.

Empty and derelict at time of survey.
