Appears on the Ordnance Survey map as Town Hall. Early to mid C19 Neoclassical building, converted to apartments circa 1998, of yellow brick, Welsh slates. Two storeys, giant Doric pilasters on pedestals, entablature with triglyphs, guttae, blocking course. Plinth, east front slightly projecting central pediment with circular lunette, round headed ground floor panel with arched window. 1:1:1 sashes, ground floor side windows in oblong panels. North front central open pediment with oval panel in tympanum. Three sashes, three dummy windows to centre of ground floor, sides of first floor. Late C19 or early C20 west wing in Art Nouveau style. Red brick, pebbledash, stone dressings. South side partly obscured by modern former public conveniences (now offices) and external iron stairs.
