Lychgate. 1881. Granite and killas rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate
hipped roof. Clay ridge tiles.
Plan: Rectangular plan with side walls only. The front and rear of the side walls
are returned to enclose stone benches. There is a central coffin rest flanked by
grid stiles.
Exterior: Single storey. Simple exterior with wide central opening at front and
rear. At the front is a pair of low open-panelled wooden gates. Over the front
opening is the following inscription in Cornish. "Da thym ythyn nesse the Thu". This
has been translated to mean: It is good for me to draw nigh unto God".
