C18 early. 2 storeys. Double fronted with 7 windows. Tiled hipped roof with
wooden eaves cornice with simplified modillions. Red brick moulded brick band
at 1st floor level. Gauged flat brick arches to slightly recessed, architraved
sash windows with exposed boxing and most with glazing bars. Wooden doorcase with
reeded pilasters carrying entablature, panelled reveals and soffit, and panelled
door; approached by stone steps. Original brick chimney stacks. Some good panelled
rooms, fireplaces. Open staircase with columned newels, twisted balusters and
carved brackets to treads.
Nos 7 to 11 (odd), Brook House, Walls, railings and gates of Brook House form
a group.
