House. c.1700 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Exposed
timber-frame, red brick plinth. Plain tile half hipped roof. End stack to
left hand and red brick ridge stack to right of centre. Two storeys and
attics with rear kitchen wing. C20 boarded entrance door, three ground floor
and three first floor hung sash windows. Interior details largely C19
include staircase, reed moulded boxed ceiling beams, and panelled doors.
Inglenook hearth to right hand room. Three unit plan and timber frame qv
No. 2 Orchard House.
