Stables/coach-house and granary. Late C18 - early C19 with later Cl9 addition to
left, C20 alterations. Brick with concrete tile roof. Rectangular on plan; forms
north side of former fold-yard. North front: single storey with attic, 5 openings,
with single-window extension to left. Elliptical-arched carriage entrance to right
of centre with C20 garage door to right beneath timber lintel. To left, a blocked
round-arched door flanked by a 6-panel door and 6-pane over light to left and a C20
casement in blocked former door to right, both beneath rubbed-brick flat arches.
Small window beneath lintel to later section on left. Stone-coped gables with
shaped kneelers. Right gable end, facing churchyard, has ground-floor oculus with
C20 glazing, and similar blocked first-floor opening. Rear, facing fold-yard, has
oculus flanked by single round-headed doors, segmental-headed stable door to right
flanked by slatted windows, and 4 first floor hatches. Interior of earlier section
contains a C18 wooden screen to former stables, with pilasters carrying round arches
with keyed archivolts, dentilled cornice and raised roundels in spandrels; one pier
replaced. Adjoining buildings to south are of no special interest.
