Tonge Green House and The Cottage

House and cottage. "THH 1782" on door lintel. Hammer-dressed
watershot stone with slate and graduated stone slate roof.
Double-depth central-staircase plan with 2 storeys. The
Cottage is l-bay, double-depth and has a gable-porch.
Projecting plinth and central 4-panel door with square-cut
surround. Triple sashes to either side with stone sills and
lintels and two 3-light first floor windows with flat-faced
stone mullions. The Cottage has a blank wall at front, the
windows and porch being on the gable. Total of 2 triple
sashes and a 3-light flat-faced mullion attic light. 2 ridge
chimney stacks with oversailing courses and water tabling. 2
and 3-light mullion windows to rear.
