SD64 NE BOWLAND FOREST LOW

House, late C18th. Squared watershot sandstone with slate roof. 2 storeys
with attics, 3 bays. The windows have plain stone surrounds and square mullions,
all of 3 lights except for a cross window with projecting surround on the 1st
floor over the door. The door surround has Tuscan pilasters, a projecting
fluted false keystone and a bracketed cornice. Gable stacks. Each gable has
a 2-light window on the ground floor and an attic window with plain stone
surround and semi-circular head with keystone. The left-hand wall has a
3-light window on both floors of an outshut which covers part of the rear
wall. The rear wall has a stair window with plain stone surround, mullions
and transoms.
