House. Late C14 and early C16. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roofs.
left and right external red brick chimney stacks. Hall with gabled crosswing to right.
2 storeys. 2 window range of C20 3 light casements. Central C20 door with top light,
flat canopy on timber supports. Early C16 crosswing of 2 bays with moulded bridging
joists, halvtd and bridled scarfs to top plates. Central tie beam cambered with
arched braces and 2 armed crown post over. Doorway with 3 centred head and moulded
jambs. C18 rear extension. The late C14 sooted hall roof originally with a crown
post is now of one and part of another bay. A floor was inserted late C16 and part of
it removed when the chimney was inserted about circa 1600. Jowled storey posts.
The shutter groove of main window is visible. Many C18 doors with some original
Ironmongery.
