House. Mid C18. Red brick in Flemish bond, painted brick and
ashlar dressings, slate roof with raised stone coped gables and 2
gable stacks. T-plan. 3 storey 5 bay front having plinth, first
and second floor bands, rusticated quoins. Central 6 panelled
door with traceried overlight, panelled reveals, eared wooden
doorcase, segmental dentillated pediment on scrolled brackets,
flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes. To first floor is a
central Venetian window with key block and scrolled brackets,
flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes. To second floor is a
central rusticated Diocletian window with plain brackets, flanked
by pairs of square glazing bar sashes. All windows have moulded
sills and splayed flat brick arches. An internal inspection has
not been possible but the previous list description noted a
carved fireplace surround on the ground floor, a panelled stone
fireplace on the first floor, and a staircase with turned
balusters, moulded handrail and open string with cut spandrels.
