Broad fronted house in row with shops. Early to mid C18 with some later fene-
stration. Smooth rendered, slate roof. Three storeys, 3 windows; ground floor
left is late C19 canted bay to lead hipped roof and 2:4:2 pane sashes, to right
large canted C19 display window with 1:2:2:1 plate glass panels and central door
on two shaped granite steps, dentilled cornice. Off-centre, left is 6-panel
fielded door in pilaster surround to cornice with Greek key enrichment, over-
light, panelled reveals. At first floor a 12-pane sash to architrave and key,
and a good 8:12:8-pane sash canted bay to frieze and cornice and flat roof.
Second floor has two 9-pane sashes, with upper sash in 6 and lower in 3 panes,
and to right, a 12-pane sash above the canted bay. The windows are offset two
and one. Good modillion eaves cornice, rendered stack, left. Building is
stepped forward slightly from adjoining property to the left. Interior not
inspected, but reported to contain some ceiling plasterwork.
