House. C16 altered c.1680, with alterations of late C18 and C19
Red brick with blue pantile roof, 2 brick ridge stacks. H-plan.
2 storey, 3 bay front, with garrets to wings, plinth, and eaves
band. Central half glazed panelled door covered by C20 rustic
wooden porch, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To first
floor are 3 similar windows, and the wings have similar garret
lights. All windows have brick segmental heads except the one
over the door which has a timber lintel. To the sides are
dentillated eaves. Interior; centre of house, probably C16
hall, retains 2 matching heavily moulded beams, and the late C17
dog leg stair has been inserted, having large turned balusters,
rectangular newels with knops. Other beams are chamfered with
shield stops. One fine Early C18 wooden fire surround with
mantle and panel over. Roof is clasped purlin but largely remade
C19.
