House. Probably c.1700, considerably extended and re-modelled early
C19 with later additions and alterations. Uncoursed limestone rubble
to earlier part with painted brick to rear; stucco rendering and projecting
eaves to C19 addition, slate roofs throughout. H-plan with flush gabled
cross-wings, partly obscured by C19 L-shaped addition to left. 2 storeys
and attic to earlier part, 2 to C19 addition. C18 long main range has
2 gabled cross-wings with attics; 1:2:1 windows (rear), all sashes under
segmental heads except for casements to ground floor, brick floor bands
also to rear; prominent external rubblestone stack to right and brick
stack to rear. L-shaped C19 addition. 1:2 windows, glazing bar sashes,
those on right of main range painted with imitation glazing bars; entrance
in angle between ranges, C20 half-glazed double door in plain early C19
doorcase, 2 red brick stacks. Garden front of 2 bays with 15-paned glazing
bar sashes to ground floor. Access to interior refused.
