Detached house. Portion of a large C17 house altered in C18 and C19. Ham stone near-ashlar; Welsh slate roofs behind
moulded coped gables, some with obelisk finials; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys with attic; west entrance facade of
4 bays, Chamfered plinth, large gables to the pairs of bays; hollow-chamfered aullioned windows in recesses without
labels below, but with labels to first floor and attics, 3-light to all but upper bay 2, which has a semi-circular
arched sash window with arched label, below which is a moulded semi-circular arched doorway with 6-panel door and
radially-glazed fanlight, to which was added in 1981 an open stone porch with Doric columns and plain entablature.
forth elevation of 5 bays, with sash windows in architraves to inner bays, those to bay 2 set higher and with
semi-circular arched heads; to bays 3 and 4 they are 9-pane below and 12-pane above, with part-glazed door between
these bays; outer bays have projecting chimney stacks partly gabled at heads. East elevation of 4 bays, gabled as west
elevation, but with sash windows in architraves, all 16-pane; to upper bay 3 a semi-circular arched sash window with
"I'-traceried head, and below a semi-circular arched doorway with Doric side pilasters and open pediment hood. Two
gazebos attached to southern corners, and small lean-to on north elevation. Interior not seen, but a wood newel stair
of C17 said to survive to attic (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, 1976).
