Cottage. Mid-C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
with plaster and painted brick infill; slate roof has internal red
brick end stacks. One storey and attic; apparently 3 or 4 framed bays.
Framing: square and rectangular panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate with
long straight tension braces to rear and V-struts from collars; partly
rebuilt in brick to front and painted black and white in imitation.
Late C20 casement to left and late C19 casement to right of C20 gabled
wooden porch, which has gabled eaves dormer directly above. Timber
framed outshut to rear on right; C19 rubblestone lean-to on left and C19 single-
storey stone addition with stable door to right. Interior: inspection
not possible at time of resurvey (October 1985) but noted as having
chamfered ceiling beams and joists.
