Public house and attached outbuilding. Early C18, domestic part brick
fronted in late C18/early C19. Timber frame dark weatherboarded, red
brick front to S half. Steep old red tile roof continuous over both
parts. A long 2-storeys height block facing E, set back from road.
3-cells, 2-storeys S part has entrance into heated S room. Later chimney
and fireplace to formerly unheated N rooms of this part. E front has 3
3-light flush casement windows under eaves of brick fronted part,
firemark between RH pair, entrance a third from S by boarded door in
heavy frame with pitched wooden hood on shaped brackets. A flat-topped
canted bay window with divided casements on each side of door. Segmental
headed sunk panel to RH. Dark weatherboarded N part with door and upper
window next S end. Weatherboarded rear to domestic part with 3 windows.
N part has 2 stable doors at front and pitching door to hay-loft in
upper part. Small tiled weatherboarded lean-to at N end.
