C17 timberframed inn. Modern pebbledash walls, steep old red tile roof. Two and a
half storeys, jettied first floor. Door on south approached by double flight of stone
steps with C19 iron railings. Cross wing on north with C19 cusped bargeboard and
trefoiled triangular light in gable. C19 sashes and gabled dormers. Wrought iron and
painted sign. (RCHM (1911) 64).
