GV II

Barn. C16. Timber frame dark weatherboarded on a red brick
sill. Steep pitched roof now of corrugated iron. A 5-bay barn
facing N. Double doors in middle bay opposite small door on S
side. Jowled posts with heavy curved braces to tie beams.
Clasped-purlin roof with windbracing. Inclined queen-strut and
collar trusses. Tension braces in walls. Roughly squared heavy
wall studs and framing timbers. E end bay partitioned off in C19
as a stable.
