House. C17, altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar
dressings, slate roof with raised stone coped gables and a single ball
finial. Single axial ridge and gable rendered stacks. 3 room plan. 2 storey
plus garrets irregular 3 bay front with off centre C19 canted bay window
with ovolo moulded mullions, fixed plain lights and hipped slate roof. The
scar of an earlier blocked window can be seen to the right. Beyond is a 3
light ovolo moulded mullioned window with moulded surround. To first floor
are 4 C19 glazing bar sashes with timber lintels. The rear elevation
retains further mullioned windows some replaced C20. Interior retains
roughly hewn beam and a cased in beam. Clasped purlin roof. Source D. L.
