Former rectory. 1867, designed by R.D. Gould of Barnstaple (Devon Record Office) at a
cost of £1,500 (White's Devon 1839). Local stone rubble with Bathstone dressings.
Slate roof, stone rubble stacks. Gothic style.
Description approximate as access unobtainable at time of survey (1988).
Asymmetrical plan. The entrance elevation has 3 gables to the front and is slightly
set back to left and right, with a slated lean-to porch on stout timbers into the
right return of the central block. A second door into the left hand end has a
chamfered stopped stone doorframe. Windows include some stone mullioned casements
and later windows.
