Former farmhouse. Possibly early C16 with later alterations. Cob, stone plinth,
roughcast, under half-hipped and gabled-end thatched roof, the lower-end extension
under corrugated iron. Formerly a 3-room, cross-passage plan; axial stack heats
hall, brick shaft. 2 storeys.
Front: scattered fenestration, 5-window range; 2 and 3-light windows, C20 frames and
casements. Entrance (former passage entrance blocked) with roughcast, breezeblock
porch under tiled roof.
Rear with stair turret (under catslide); three 2-light ground-floor casement windows,
2 windows to 1st floor
Interior much altered; 4 jointed crucks visible (roof space ceiled); former
partition between hall and parlour marked by bressumer with mortices; possible
jettying of lower-end into hall; 2 old doors survive, including 1 with fielded
panels.
