Farmhouse, early 17th century and later. Red brick with steeply pitched
pantile roofs. Two storey and 1½ storeys. Two storey range to east probably
a fragment of a larger house: 4-light ground floor and 3-light first floor
casements, 19th and 20th century. Large internal chimney stack on west side
on moulded brick base. Parapeted east gable with tumbling-in and internal
chimney with square shaft on moulded base. Blocked first floor and attic
window openings in gable with chamfered reveals. 3-light ground floor case-
ment in reduced opening. Small niche with chamfered reveals below eaves
on south wall. Lower range to west with 20th century 2-light casements;
segmental heads to ground floor openings. Two dormers with lead-covered
roofs. Parapeted west gable with internal chimney stack. Single storey
hipped projection to south with gauged arches over casements and six panelled
door with semi-circular arch and fanlight. Pantiled lean-to's on north side;
one dormer with 2-light leaded casement. Attached red brick garden wall
at north-east corner with a row of six niches or bee boles and brick dentil
string course.
