Granary/maltings. Early C19. Uncoursed flint and pebble rubble with dressings
of red brick and puddingstone, roofed with handmade red plain tiles.
Rectangular plan aligned NE-SW, with hipped roof. Buttressed lean-to extension
of similar material to NW. Full-length catslide extension of red brick to SE.
2 storeys. The SW elevation has on the ground floor 2 plain boarded doors, and
on the first floor one plain boarded pitching door, one C19 casement, and open
vents in the brickwork. Within are the remains of a circular kiln built of
rubble, part of which projects as a garden wall to the NE. A low flint and
brick garden wall is attached to the S corner and returns along the SW side of
Aylett's Farmhouse (item 5/131, q.v.).
