II
House, formerly in one occupation now in two. Early/mid C19
incorporating part of wall of C17/early C18 house to rear. Ashlar
limestone, red brick, (English garden wall bond) and remains of
earlier squared and dressed limestone walling rear left. Grey
slate roof with flat coped gable ends Ashlar stacks at gable ends
and off centre right. C19 red brick extension rear right, not of
listable quality. Main body: 3 storeys, 3-windowed, 16-pane
sashes. Tall 2-light stone mullioned casement with rounded head to
lights and leaded panes in rear wall. 4-centred arched doorway
below, both within earlier limestone walling at rear. Front door
off-centre right with fanlight over, door of 6-fielded panels and
decorative knocker in form of hand holding wreath, under C19 gabled
hood.
