Farmhouse. Circa mid C17 some minor C19 and C20 alterations. Rubble and cob,
roughcast and whitewashed, hipped and gabled asbestos - slated roofs, hipped roof
porch, 3 tall roughcast stacks.
Plan: single room depth, 3-room plan, entry to left into lobby between left 2 rooms
with large back-to-back stack between them, these 2 rooms probably the hall to
centre and the parlour to left, kitchen to extreme right with gable-end fireplace,
this room entered by a secondary door opening on the front. Large projecting 2-
storey porcn over principal door opening.
Exterior: 2 storeys, 1:1:3 windows, to left bay sash windows with glazing bars on
each floor, exposed sash boxes, centre bay with projecting porch, C20 casement on
first floor, on ground floor segmental-headed outer opening giving onto interior
with bench; right 3 bays with C20 2 and 3 light casements, door opening to the
kitchen with a C20 plank door, C20 gabled porch.
Interior: with C19 panelling between the kitchen and the central room; kitchen with
roughly-chamfered cross ceiling beam, gable end fireplace with C19 cambered brick
arch.
Roof: complete C17 roof survives, 4 trusses with mortices ridge, halved, lapped and
pegged collars, purlins resting on the backs of the principals.
