Cottage Ornée: formerly 2 dwellings. Former lodge to Kimberley Hall. Circa
1800. Rendered brick with thatched roof. L plan. One storey with attic.
2-light casements with triangular heads and elongated diamond leading.
Some windows enclosed beneath 4-centred arches. Doorway in each wing(blocked
to south) with thatched porches supported by tree trunks. 3 attic gables
to east and 2 to south. Cusped fascias and barge boards probably later
additions. 2 axial stacks. Curious metal railings with rotating spurs
around ground floor windows of south facade presumably to keep off cattle.
